Most clients see smooth, hair-free results for three to six weeks depending on hair growth cycle, skin type, and aftercare. Regular appointments extend time between services and help hair grow back finer and sparser.
Waxing causes brief, manageable discomfort rather than sharp pain. To prepare, avoid caffeine, exfoliate 24 hours before, and ensure hair is about quarter-inch long. We offer calming techniques and post-care to minimize sensitivity.
Keep the area clean and avoid heat or heavy products for 24–48 hours. Apply cool compresses or aloe to soothe, wear SPF outdoors, and skip exfoliation or retinol close to the waxed area until fully settled.
Mild redness or tiny bumps are common and usually subside within a day. To prevent ingrown hairs, exfoliate gently after 48 hours, moisturize, and consider occasional professional treatments if ingrowns persist.
Avoid waxing if you have sunburn, open wounds, active infections, or are using isotretinoin within the past six months. Inform us about medications or skin treatments so we can assess suitability and offer alternatives if needed.
Optimal hair length for sideburn waxing is about 1/4 inch (6 mm). Too short hair won’t adhere to wax; overly long hair may be trimmed for comfort. We can trim or advise on ideal regrowth before waxing.
